Privacy and your information
How calculator inputs, third-party links and technical page requests work on this website.
Calculator and checklist inputs
Calculators and preparation checklists run in your browser. Continuing from a request selector places the selected amount, state and loan preference in the application-page URL. Those preferences are sent to the host and can be read by the form service loaded on that page; this is separate from submitting the application. The separate application page loads a third-party form that may ask for personal, income and banking information. Information entered or submitted in that form is handled by its application service under the disclosures shown with the form.
Cookies and browser storage
The local guide and calculator code does not save calculator inputs in browser storage or set tracking cookies. Opening the application page loads third-party scripts, which may use cookies, browser storage and tracking technologies under their own disclosures. Hosting infrastructure and browser caching also process technical page requests.
Technical requests
Opening a page sends a request to the hosting server. Technical information can include the IP address, requested address and browser headers. Server logs and any infrastructure cookies depend on the hosting configuration. The application page also sends technical requests to the form service and its supporting services when loaded.
External links and downloaded files
Regulator and other source links lead to separate websites with their own practices. Those sites receive a request when you follow a link. A schedule CSV is generated locally from your calculation and saved when you choose to download it.
Before sharing sensitive information
Read the application form’s provider identity, privacy, marketing and consent disclosures before entering or submitting information. Those disclosures explain how the application service collects and shares information. Calculator use alone does not authorize a credit application or the transfer of applicant information.
